So far in 2025, most of the time has been devoted to teaching various courses in different vocational higher education programs, but there has also been time for a few study visits and some personal professional development. Here’s a brief selection.

June 2025 - World Green Roof & Green Façade Congress Basel 2025

An intense week of lectures, discussions, and inspiring site visits to green roofs and façades in and around Basel and northern Switzerland.

June 2025 - Södra Latin Stockholm

Four high school teachers received grants to further develop their skills in sustainable urban planning. They chose to visit Augustenborg and Naturmolnet – two strong examples of climate adaptation in practice.

June 2025 - DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia

High school students from Austin, Texas spent a morning in the Augustenborg Eco-City, learning about nature-based solutions and urban sustainability.

Maj 2025 - DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia

Despite the pouring rain, American students enjoyed a tour of Augustenborg with a focus on stormwater management and sustainable urban systems.

May 2025 - Polhemsskolan Lund

The annual visit from two classes at Polhemsskolan was, as always, popular and well received – although the weather was unusually chilly. The tour covered Västra Hamnen and the Varvsstaden redevelopment.

May 2025 IIIEE - Lunds universitet

Participants from Armenia, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, and Azerbaijan engaged in lively discussions about climate-smart solutions and urban development.

May 2025 Skånska Trädgårdsföreningen

A group of gardening enthusiasts attended a well-received lecture and tour in Augustenborg, with a focus on green infrastructure and broader ecological perspectives.

April - May 2025 -  Dacapo Mariestad

As part of the course "Restoring and Conserving Nature", participants joined two full-day cycling study visits in Malmö and attended seminars – in addition to submitting several assignments for review.

April 2025 - DGMR Netherlands

A group of Dutch consultants with an interest in sustainable planning, architecture, and climate adaptation biked through Västra Hamnen and ended the day with a visit to the top of Turning Torso.

April 2025 - Movium Conference, Helsingborg

The full-day conference Public Parks and Urban Spaces in Helsingborg offered inspiring site visits, networking, and new insights – particularly around this year’s theme: Recycle! Upcycle!

April 2025 - Turning Torso

New for 2025: guided tours at the top of Turning Torso are now available as a standalone experience or as part of a broader urban sustainability program.

Mars - May 2025 Hermods

Course leadership for Green-Blue-Grey Solutions included five weeks of instruction and two weeks of thesis work for class HSHGUH24D in the Green Urban Developer program.

Mars 2025 - Lars Kagg Upper Secondary School Kalmar

A yearly tradition continued as Lars Kagg students spent a full day in Malmö, exploring Augustenborg and Varvsstaden. The group was curious and eager to engage in meaningful discussions.

Mars 2025 - Tranemo Upper Secondary School

A small but enthusiastic group of students enjoyed a walking tour through Västra Hamnen and the Varvsstaden waterfront.

Mars 2025 - Cégep Édouard Montpetit

Eighteen students from Quebec visited Augustenborg and learned about Malmö’s approaches to climate adaptation and green infrastructure.

Mars 2025 - Ekosvest: Mayors and Municipal Leaders from North Macedonia and More

A half-day program with presentations and a walking tour of Augustenborg sparked lively discussions and was very well received.

Februari 2025 - SLU Alnarp study Visits in Malmö and Copenhagen 

Participants in SLU Alnarp’s climate change course joined a two-day study tour by bike in Malmö and by bus in Copenhagen. Despite the wintry weather, the days were filled with valuable insights and connections.

February 2025 - DIS Study Abroad in Scandinavia

American students enjoyed a half-day walking tour through Västra Hamnen, Varvsstaden, and the Bo01 district, gaining new perspectives on urban resilience.

February 2025 - Sege Park, Malmö

A full day of knowledge-sharing and networking took place in one of Malmö’s most exciting urban development areas.

A day filled with lectures, workshops, and networking activities marked the beginning of the year with energy and inspiration.

Course leadership for Planning Green Infrastructure and Ecosystem Services for class TM23. The 9-week program included lectures, workshops, project work, and ended with a full-day study trip to Stockholm.
